The brief called for a home that embraces its rural setting while offering modern functionality, durability, and understated elegance.

Rural contemporary form

A series of simple, elongated forms with well-proportioned pitched rooflines create a modern interpretation of traditional rural architecture, ensuring the home sits comfortably within its context.

A restrained selection of materials—featuring modern lightweight cladding, and dark Colorbond cladding—anchors the home within the landscape while offering durability suited to rural conditions.

The central living, dining, and kitchen area opens onto a generous covered veranda, creating a fluid transition between indoors and outdoors.
