We hired Lauran with the appreciation that she was an enthusiastic and intelligent designer. Lauran was able to provide us with a number of potential designs to see which we gravitated to the most, and then through a process of refining ideas, we were able to come up with a design that was aesthetically pleasing and functionally common-sense. Something we appreciated was how readily our ideas were considered and trialled on a 3D BIMX model. This allowed us to visualise whether or not certain ideas would work in practice as we “walked” through the design on our computers and smart phones.

Needing more space for the extended family I briefed Lauran Travena of LT & Associates to draw plans for a 2nd storey extension, comprising three bedroom, bathroom, wet bar and living area. Lauran created a beautiful open plan with excellent flow and efficient use of the limited space. Externally the design complemented and enhanced the character of the existing single storey house.

After having basic drawings done by a draftsman and then changing builders we were then handed a gift called Lauran, as we realised to get through council it would take more than what we would know to achieve this. It took just over 4 months to get through BMCC, which felt like a long and drawn out process, but Lauran’s great quality drawings and knowledge of the process and interaction with council was invaluable, we couldn’t have done this as quickly without her, I’m not sure actually if we could have done this at all with out her!..

Nothing was ever too much trouble and she turned drawing changes around really fast, she was always available and such a pleasure and delight to deal with. In terms of value for money she was outstanding, and Lauran’s input into our next home was absolutely critical.
