Drew and Janell approached us with a desire to enhance their home’s functionality and aesthetics. Their quaint, older home had an existing rear addition that, over time, became more of a hindrance than an asset. The kitchen layout felt awkward, and the connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces was lacking.
Our team embarked on a journey to reimagine their space. By carefully assessing their needs and aspirations, we crafted a design that not only addressed their concerns but exceeded their expectations. Removing the outdated rear addition provided a blank canvas for us to create a larger, more inviting living area, seamlessly integrating a modern kitchen with a redesigned rear deck.
Throughout the design process, we explored innovative solutions to maximise natural light and create an airy ambiance. Skylights and strategically placed windows were introduced to illuminate the heart of the home, while raising the ceiling height accentuated views of the picturesque lake, bringing the outdoors in.
Respecting our clients’ budget constraints, we meticulously planned each aspect of the project. Utilising advanced budget costing software, we ensured that every design iteration aligned with their financial parameters, providing transparency and peace of mind.
Understanding our clients’ eagerness to see their vision come to life, we optimised the design for compliance with Complying Development Controls (CDC). This not only expedited the approval process but also paved the way for a smooth transition to the construction phase.
Collaborating closely with our clients, we facilitated the selection of a trusted local builder. Guiding them through contract considerations, we empowered them to make informed decisions, laying the foundation for a successful partnership.
With the CDC application approved by Brad from Kicert, our clients were ready to embark on their home transformation journey. We provided comprehensive support, from securing structural engineering proposals to facilitating essential applications, ensuring a seamless transition to the construction phase.
